Remarks by Chadds Ford Supervisor, Garry Paul |
|
Every so often there comes along a man born for the job. A man
who serves with dedication and enthusiasm. A man who puts in
countless hours each week because of his strong sense of
responsibility. Stephen Barrar has been our State Representative
(to the House) for 10 years. During that time he has not missed
one vote on the floor. In the last few years Chadds Ford came
calling and Stephen Barrar was there for us. Stephen has secured
$350,000 in state grants for us that included $150,000 for the
Sewer Authority and $200,000 for our new Town Hall. This has
helped to make it possible for us to be here today. It gives me
great pleasure to introduce to you a man I consider a friend and
most certainly a friend of Chadds Ford. Remarks by Chadds Ford
Supervisor, Garry Paul |

"Representative Barrar has demonstrated that he is the best
candidate in the race for the 160th House District.
Stephen Barrar understands the needs and concerns of employers -
particularly small business owners. He knows that a healthy
business climate drives the economy and creates jobs. In order
to better bring employer's costs in line with other states, we
need additional business tax reductions, less government
interference and fewer business mandates. Representative Barrar
understands these issues and their impact on Pennsylvania
employers"
Gene Barr
Vice President - Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce & Industry

Steve's likeable personality, friendly disposition and willing
and helpful manner portray a man dedicated to his job and his
constituents.
He is always there when help is needed for a local project or
to secure grant monies when possible.
He is not afraid to take a firm stand when necessary but
willing to listen to reason and compromise.
His concern for schools, senior citizens, roads and holding
the line on taxes is well known.
I am proud of Steve as our State Representative and as a
personal friend.
Best regards,
Robert C. Mench, Concord Township

I wholeheartedly support Steve Barrar for re-election to the 160 District of the State House of Representatives. I have been very impressed with how Representative Barrar balances out his district. It becomes more complex when you are representing more than one County. It is a given that you will be more comfortable with your home County, but Rep. Barrar has come to represent Chester County with ease and fairness. He is extremely visible and accessible to his constituents. A real "hands on" kind of person; and someone who is not afraid to stand up for his beliefs. The kind of person you want to represent you. I am proud that he is our State Representative.

supporting the nursing profession by cosponsoring a bill for our valued

Since first taking office Steve has been there to support us and legislation important to nurses, I am asking my colleagues to give him their support in this years election.

I am writing you to thank you and Gloria for your outstanding
assistance in working with Harrisburg's Provider Relations group
and Walgreen's Pharmacy in Brookhaven to ensure that my Mother's
Access county insurance card covered the purchases of a new
Alzheimer's drug, Namenda.
I am so very impressed with Gloria's responsiveness and
persistence to get the job done. Seldom do you encounter someone
who services the public with such zeal. Although I know Gloria
had many other tasks to do last week, she made me feel as though
this was her number one priority. Without you both, my mother
may never have received this drug through her insurance company,
because no one cared to take the time to coordinate between the
pharmacy and Harrisburg.
I request that you forward this to your superiors, as I would
like to inform them of the great and powerful thing you are
doing to significantly help members of the community, especially
the elderly. After calling many people for help and was
unsuccessful, I know this never would have occurred if it
weren't for you and Gloria.
My father and I appreciate all of your time and effort!
Very Gratefully Yours,
Gina Mesko
